GOD HAS DONE GREAT THINGS!

God has definitely smiled on the Bible Reading Marathon AGAIN, as He has in the past seven years. Tonight is opening night and our hearts are overflowing with joy in the anticipation of what He is going to do through the reading of the entire Bible over the course of this week.

When God moved us here 37 years ago THIS MONTH we had no idea the direction things would go for us in lifting up the Word of God in our community. We are grateful and humbled at the same time. None of this would have been possible without Him and the support of hundreds of Christians in our area.

This week our local paper ran a six page insert all about the Bible Reading Marathon. I can’t begin to describe my feelings when I saw it for the first time. Truly He hath done great things!

In spite of bumps in the road, we have seen His hand work in incredible ways in this 8th marathon. Satan hates the Word of God because He knows the Word brings life! The seed is incorruptible. We are born again through the incorruptible seed of the Word of God and Satan knows it and does everything in his limited and puny power to snuff it out.

Men and women have been burned at the stake for the Word of God. Today people in God hating, God denying countries are still suffering just to hold a Bible in their hands. What a blessing to live in a country that still has 'freedom of speech'; freedom to go to church, freedom to assemble and proclaim His Word from the public forum.
Tonight we proclaim that Jesus Christ is LORD over Bleckley County, Georgia and the Bible is THE ONLY INSPIRED WORD OF GOD!
